Sangre de Drago (Dragon Blood Tree Juice) – pure plant latex from Croton lechleri, 15 ml – natural raw material from the Amazon

This is the latex of the Croton lechleri ​​tree – when the bark is cut, a dark red, milky sap oozes out, traditionally known as "dragon's blood." The sap contains, among other things, proanthocyanidins (OPCs), taspin, and other bioactive polyphenols that have been valued in South America for centuries. Important: This is not resin from other plants such as Dracaena or Pterocarpus – but exclusively the living sap of this Amazonian tree.

The latex of Croton lechleri ​​is used in a variety of ways in the Amazon – for generations by both humans and animals:

• Wound care: Applied directly to the skin, the sap forms a protective, elastic film – like a natural plaster. It dries quickly and, according to traditional experience, helps to stop bleeding, soothe the skin, and promote regeneration.

In 2012, the active ingredient crofelemer, based on an isolated extract from this juice, was approved as a drug in the USA (for the regulation of diarrhea in HIV patients). Its effect is based on chloride channel blockade – not comparable to the full spectrum of effects of the unprocessed raw juice.

After being wild-harvested in the Amazon, the juice was mechanically filtered in small batches, bottled in amber glass, and stored under refrigeration. No alcohol, no preservatives, no heat .
